Allison Rutland
Allison Rutland was a Research Intern with MPI’s U.S. Immigration Policy Program. Her research interests focus on the intersection of immigration policy and public health, including immigrants’ access to public benefits and their socioeconomic outcomes.
Prior to this role, she held direct service and nonprofit development positions in Tennessee, including as a Development Coordinator and Spanish-speaking Case Manager at The Village at Glencliff and as a Grant Writer for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Lipscomb University, where her thesis examined the historical evolution of immigration policy and its impact on public assistance access, and a bachelor’s degree in politics and international affairs from Furman University.
