The Biden administration has been one of the most active in the immigration space in recent memory. Challenges managing migration at the U.S.-Mexico border, including during the pivot away from pandemic-era policies, have been a through line and dominated public discourse. However, the administration’s areas of focus have also included rebuilding the refugee resettlement program, responding to mass displacement (including from Venezuela, Afghanistan, and Ukraine), and deepening cooperation with other countries in the Americas.
This page features MPI research and data resources that offer context and analysis relevant to policy changes achieved and proposed during the Biden presidency.
