10th Annual Immigration Law and Policy Conference

The 10th annual Immigration Law and Policy Conference featured keynotes by U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, and panel discussions on the prospects for legislative action, policy options, and political mobilization; lessons learned from past immigration legislation and programs; and an assessment of current conditions at the U.S. border and considerations for future policy. 

The 10th annual Immigration Law and Policy Conference featured keynotes by U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour as well as panel discussions covering a range of key immigration topics. Among the topics of discussion: Prospects for legislative action, policy options, and political mobilization; opportunities for action on immigration issues absent legislative movement; lessons learned from past immigration legislation and programs, including the Immigration Reform and Control Act and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program; and an assessment of current conditions at the U.S. border and considerations for future border and immigration policy.
