Dionne Gravesande

Dionne Gravesande is Chair of the Board of the Joint Learning Initiative on Faith and Local Communities and Secretary of the National Church Leaders Forum in the United Kingdom. As a humanitarian and international development consultant with expertise in faith-based partnerships, Gravesande has worked for more than 20 years at Christian Aid, a UK-based international relief agency where she most recently served as the Principal Adviser for Faith Partnerships and Theology. In this role, she led faith partnerships, focusing on addressing inequality, gender, peacebuilding, and climate. Her work has primarily covered Africa, but she has worked with communities in North America, Asia, and the Caribbean through the Transatlantic Roundtable on Religion and Race and other forums. 

Gravesande holds a BA in youth and community and a DipHE in trauma and counseling from the University of Leicester and a BA in theology from Overstone College.

She is a member of the Advisory Council for the Religion and Refugees Project from MPI’s Refugee and Forced Displacement Initiative.
