Diana Gerson

Diana Gerson is the Associate Executive Vice President of the New York Board of Rabbis and Senior Advisor for Partnerships and External Relations at the Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities. A researcher and global policy strategist specializing in children, migration, and safeguarding, Rabbi Gerson is the Co-Founder of the Global Advocacy Hub for Children and Families and President of a research consulting practice that focuses on youth and migration governance. She is a member of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Multi-Religious Council of Leaders and serves as USA Country Coordinator for the Global Network of Religions for Children, contributing to policy discussions on displacement, protection, and child rights. 

Rabbi Gerson is a PhD candidate at the University of Essex. She holds an MA, Rabbinic Ordination, and Doctor of Divinity from the Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion and a BA from Rutgers University.

She is a member of the Advisory Council for the Religion and Refugees Project from MPI’s Refugee and Forced Displacement Initiative.
