Marie Sandberg

Marie Sandberg is Director of the Centre for Advanced Migration Studies (AMIS) at the University of Copenhagen, where she is also Associate Professor in European ethnology. She is President of the International Society for Ethnology and Folklore (SIEF) and was Editor in Chief of its flagship journal, Ethnologia Europaea - Journal of European Ethnology, from 2013 to 2020. Her research focuses on the consequences of the temporary turn in Danish immigration policy for refugees and civil society. She holds a PhD from the University of Copenhagen.
