Ieva Birka

Ieva Birka was a Visiting Fellow at MPI in spring 2019 from the University of Latvia, where she is Lead Researcher at the Advanced Social and Political Research Institute (ASPRI) on a postdoctoral project titled “Harnessing the Economic Potential of the Diaspora” Nr.1.1.1.2/VIAA/1/16/013. Previously she completed postdoctoral projects at the University of Lucerne and as a Baltic Fellow at Yale University. She is the author and coauthor of publications focusing on issues of social integration, feelings of belonging, dual citizenship, and the diaspora.
