Grete Brochmann is a Professor in the University of Oslo’s Department of Sociology and Human Geography specializing in immigration and integration policies in welfare states and the Nordic region. She is the co-author or co-editor of books including Welfare State and Population in Denmark, Germany and the UK: Aspects of the Development since the 1960s (Rockwool Foundation), Europe's Immigration Challenge: Reconciling Work, Welfare and Mobility (IB Tauris), and Immigration Policy and the Scandinavian Welfare State 1945-2010 (Palgrave Macmillan). She holds a PhD from the University of Oslo.
