Ayhan Kaya is Professor of Politics and Jean Monnet Chair of European Politics of Interculturalism at Istanbul Bilgi University’s Department of International Relations, Director of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, and a member of the Science Academy of Turkey. He is a holder of a European Research Council Advanced Grant and author or co-author of Syrian Refugees in Turkey: Between Reception and Integration (Springer IMISCOE), Turkish Origin Migrants and their Descendants: Hyphenated Identities in Transnational Space (Palgrave), Europeanization and Tolerance in Turkey (Palgrave), and other books. He holds a PhD from the University of Warwick, in England.
