Beth Gardiner-Smith

Beth Gardiner-Smith is a Senior Policy Associate at the Future Governance Forum, with a focus on asylum and migration. She was the founding CEO of Safe Passage International, an award-winning international charity she set up and ran between 2018 and 2024 to assist refugees in accessing safe routes to protection across Europe. Prior to this, she held various policy advisor roles to the UK Shadow Cabinet, including as Political Advisor to Home Secretary Yvette Cooper.

Ms. Gardiner-Smith trained as a community organizer with Citizens UK and has worked on national election campaigns in the United States. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Institute for Public Policy Research’s Migration Policy Unit and holds a degree in philosophy, politics, and economics from the University of Oxford.
