Emma Heidorn is a PhD student at the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago, where she studies child and adolescent mental health, refugee and immigrant youth well-being, and school-based psychosocial interventions. She was previously a Research Intern with MPI’s National Center on Immigrant Integration Policy.
Prior to starting her PhD, Ms. Heidorn worked as a school-based clinical social worker in Chicago and taught elementary school in the Middle East. She holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
