Anders Widfeldt is a lecturer in politics at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. His main research interests are political parties, populism, and right-wing extremism/radicalism.
Among his recent publications on these topics are Extreme Right Parties in Scandinavia (Routledge, 2015); “What Kind of Party is UKIP? The Future of the Extreme Right in Britain or Just Another Tory Party?” (co-authored with Heinz Brandenburg, Political Studies, 2017); “Tensions Beneath the Surface: the Swedish Mainstream Parties and the Immigration Issue” (Acta Politica, 2015); and “The Radical Right in the Nordic Countries”, in The Oxford Handbook of the Radical Right, ed. Jens Rydgen (Oxford University Press, 2018).
Dr. Widfeldt obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
