It is with profound sadness that we share word of the loss and celebrate the remarkable legacy of Demetrios G. Papademetriou, who was President Emeritus and co-founder of MPI and founder of MPI Europe. Papademetriou, who died January 26, was one of the world's pre-eminent scholars and lecturers on international migration. He also advised numerous governments, international organizations, civil society groups and philanthropic organizations on immigration and immigrant integration issues.
