Ondřej Valenta

Ondřej Valenta is a postgraduate student in Social Geography and Regional Development at the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science. As a Research Fellow at the research unit GEOMIGRACE, he specialized in educational and labor aspects of international migration.

Mr. Valenta also works at the Technology Center of the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic as a Policy Analyst and Project Manager, focusing on assessment of system of research, development, and innovation. He is an expert in the development and utilization of foresight methods.

Building an Integration System: Policies to Support Immigrants’ Progression in the Czech Labor Market

This report presents an overview of Czech integration policies, with a special focus on economic integration. It focuses on policies designed to support migrants’ incorporation in the Czech labor market, and assesses the extent to which these policies facilitate migrants’ upward mobility into more skilled work.
