Danielle A. Crosby
Danielle A. Crosby is an Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, School of Health and Human Sciences. Her research focuses on understanding and promoting child development in the context of poverty, and includes studies of the effects of welfare and employment policies on families, and the early care and education experiences of children in low-income, ethnic minority, and immigrant families.

The authors identify the contextual factors — such as family circumstances, parenting practices, and enrollment in center-based child care — that encourage early school success.
