Anette Haas

Anette Haas is a Senior Researcher in the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) Regional Labor Markets department, a position she has held since 1997. Since 2010 she has served as head of IAB’s Migration and Integration working group.

She studied economics at the University of Regensburg, specializing in regional and urban economics, econometrics, and empirical macroeconomics. She obtained her degree in 1996 (Diplomvolkswirtin). From 1994 to 1995 she undertook a course of study abroad at the University of Saragossa in Spain under the Erasmus Program.

This report assesses recent policy developments designed to facilitate the labor market advancement of new arrivals in Germany.
