Alexandra Vranas-Carita
Alexandra Vranas-Carita was Editor of the Migration Information Source, MPI’s respected online journal.
Prior to joining MPI, Mrs. Vranas-Carita was a Program Coordinator at American University’s Center for Latin American & Latino Studies, where she managed the Center’s communications portfolio, publications, and institutional partnerships. Before moving to Washington, she taught English in southern Chile through the UN Development Program’s English Opens Doors initiative.
Mrs. Vranas-Carita holds a master’s degree in Spanish and Latin American studies from American University, where her research focused on social mobilizations in the Southern Cone. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in history and Spanish from Loyola University Chicago.
