Jill H. Wilson

Jill H. Wilson was formerly the principal researcher on a Migration Policy Institute project to assist immigrant service organizations to make use of demographic data.  Ms. Wilson is currently a senior research analyst and associate fellow at the Metropolitan Policy Program at the Brookings Institution. Her work has focused primarily on immigration and other demographic trends, and the changing geographical settlement of metropolitan areas.

This report investigates and addresses gaps in the data needs of immigrant service and advocacy organizations by surveying the most commonly used migration data sources in the field, discussing budget-conscious ways to commission customized analysis through government and private sources, and identifying good providers of training for staff.
