Migration Information Source Releases Analysis and Data Related to Iraq
April 2, 2003

Washington, DC– As attention around the world focuses on Iraq, the April issue of the Migration Information Source offers exclusive analysis on post-conflict Iraq, Iraqis in the United States and the United States government’s new Special Registration program.

“This issue of the Migration Information Source is pivotal for those interested in analyses and data on Iraqis,” says Kimberly Hamilton, Managing Editor for the Source and Director of External Relations for Migration Policy Institute. “The issue covers the possible humanitarian challenges facing a post-conflict Iraq. It also dissects the US government’s new Special Registration program, which requires foreign visitors from designated countries to register. Additionally, this issue highlights data on Iraqis living in the United States. It is an invaluable tool for anyone interested in understanding the very complex situation of conflict in relation to immigration policies.”
