MPI held a ceremony and awards program, honoring visionaries in immigration policy in the United States and internationally. The ceremony opened with comments from MPI President Demetrios Papademetriou; featured a discussion between MPI Senior Fellow Doris Meissner and former Rep. Ron Mazzoli, one of the lead sponsors of the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act; and included a keynote address by Open Society Foundations President Aryeh Neier.
