The International Organization for Migration is increasingly facilitating regional cooperation among governments in meeting migration challenges. The IOM's new report World Migration 2003: Managing Migration - Challenges and Responses for People on the Move, provides comprehensive regional updates as well as thematic articles on selected issues important in migration management. New to this edition is a global overview of key questions on how to improve migration statistics. Gervais Appave, Director of Migration Policy and Research Program, IOM, will be presenting the report. He will discuss trends in international migration, issues facing policymakers, and new ideas about international migration management.
