12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
As current events continue to demonstrate the need for a more humane and cooperative system of international migration, encouraging the dialogue on how to facilitate this at the international level is essential. The Hague Process is one of a number of international efforts that have been initiated to investigate and develop new ideas on achieving better and fairer governance of migration processes. Based on the 21 Principles of the Declaration of Hague published in 2002, the Hague Process engages decision-makers, the business community, and civil society (including migrants and refugees) in dialogue about the role of immigration and asylum in a globalizing world.
