Anne Green

Anne Green is a Professorial Fellow at the Institute for Employment Research at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. A geographer by background, Dr. Green has substantial experience in researching migration and commuting, nonemployment, regional and local labor markets, and associated policy issues.

Prior to her current role at Warwick she held research positions at Newcastle and Cardiff universities. Her research concerns the impacts of labor migration and geographical mobility more generally (including long-distance commuting), the geography of employment and joblessness, local skills strategies, and the role of social networks and place attachment in understanding labor market behavior.

Dr. Green is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the Royal Society of Arts, an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences, and a member of the Regional Studies Association.
